Topps Sterling Baseball returns after 10-year hiatus

Returning from a 10-year hiatus, one of the ultra-premium forefathers is back with Topps Sterling.

Each master box holds two themed mini-boxes, which will contain one of the following: 1) On-card Autographed Relic Card numbered to 25 or less, or 2) A Unique Relic or Autographed Relic Card numbered 1-of-1 (two per case).

Potential themes include World Series Champions, Yankee Greats, MVP Award Winners, and Topps Rookie Cup Recipients.

On-Card Autographed Relics include Sterling Seasons, featuring players and their greatest seasons; Sterling Strikes, highlighting the game’s greatest pitchers; and Sterling Swings, showcasing the best hitters. All are numbered to 10, to 5, and 1-of-1. Others are Sterling Sets Dual Autograph Relics (notable pairs), Sterling Sets Triple Autograph Relics (collectible trios), and Sterling Splendor Jumbo Autographs (jumbo-sized patch pieces of some of the greats). These are numbered to 5 or less, with a 1-of-1.

Unique Relics include Sterling Jersey Letter Patch Cards, Bat Knob Cards, Autographed Bat Knob Cards, Bat Nameplate Cards, Autographed Bat Nameplate Cards, Cut Signatures, and Legendary Relics—all sequentially numbered 1-of-1.

The hobby configuration is five cards per pack, two packs per box and 10 boxes per case. The scheduled release date was July 22.

2020 Panini Chronicles Draft Picks Football

Brand new for 2020, Chronicles Football will give collectors a large variety of rookie cards to chase from all the top drafted players. Autographs of the 2020 rookie class appear across 21 different programs, including fan favorites like Crown Royale, Spectra, Select, and Optic. Look for on-card autograph versions of Select, Spectra, and Donruss Optic.

Not only does 2020 Chronicles Draft Picks feature cards from over 20 different sets, but it utilizes multiple card stocks as well. Look for traditional C2S, Holographic and Opti-Chrome spread throughout the program. Select Draft Picks Cracked Ice, Elite Rookies Gold and Donruss Rated Rookies Draft Picks Press Proof Black are featured.

Three autographs and one memorabilia card are in each hobby box, along with two parallels. Downtown Collegiate Football cards fall on average one per case.

The hobby configuration is eight cards per pack, six packs per box, 16 boxes per case. The release date was set for July 10.
