Sports memorabilia featured in Hake's Americana & Collectibles auction
More than 2,400 items in 200 collecting categories will be available in an auction hosted by Hake’s Americana & Collectibles.
The sports memorabilia portion of the auction is highlighted by an autographed Jackie Robinson photo. There are also plenty of signed baseballs in the auction, including single signed baseballs by Rogers Hornsby and Mickey Mantle, and an A’s team signed baseball that includes Ty Cobb’s signature.
In addition, there are team signed items featuring the Boston Celtics, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Eagles.
There is also a pair of boxing gloves available, with one glove signed by Muhammad Ali and the other signed by Joe Frazier.
Not to be forgotten are the baseball cards in the auction. This portion of the auction is led by a 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle rookie card graded PSA 3. Also of interest is a 1921 Holsum Bread Joe Jackson card graded PSA 1.
A Negro League Baseball team photo of the Homestead Grays from 1930 is another highlight of the auction, as are rare buttons of Red Grange and Honus Wagner.
