The latest SCP Auctions sale didn't need any hype – the line of sports memorabilia spoke volumes on its own with the personal collections of Rollie Fingers, George Sisler, Chris Mullin, Bret Saberhagen, John Havlicek and Steve Garvey.

SCP Auctions provided the final numbers for its recently concluded sale: $5.2 million for 995 lots sold. The auction included numerous athlete collections, including Rollie Fingers, Steve Garvey, Bret Saberhagen, John Havlicek, Chris Mullin and George Sisler.

The top two items in the sales were related to Babe Ruth – a 1927 Yankees team photo realized $275,706 and a 1929-30 Ruth game-used bat brought $171, 191 – but even modern players had their day in the sun in this sale.
