Ruth Bat, Championship Rings and Athlete Collections Headline SCP Auctions
The latest SCP Auctions sale in underway at www.scpauctions.com. The auction once again features a few different personal athlete collections, this time from Bill Russell of the Dodgers and former catchers Benito Santiago and Rick Dempsey.
The sale will also host the second part of the John Havlicek Collection and a large assortment of N.Y. Yankees game-used and autographed memorabilia.
Bidding is underway, and the leaders out of the game are a Gem Mint 10 1934 Goudey Lou Gehrig #37 (only Gem Mint 10 on record), Travis Jervey's 1996 Green Bay Packers championship ring, 1929-30 Babe Ruth game-used bat and Ruth's 1916 Famous & Barr rookie card (PSA 3). A bid of $10,000 has already been reached for a 1980-81 Topps #34 Larry Bird/Julius Erving/Magic Johnson card, graded BVG 10 (1 OF 1).
Championship rings include 1991 Washington Redskins Super Bowl XXVI ring, 1998 Denver Broncos Super Bowl XXXII ring, Rick Dempsey's 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers World Series championship ring and a host of others across major sports.
