Legendary Previews 'Signature' Auction, Closes April 4

In a twist from its usual auction lineup, Legendary Auctions is rolling out an Internet auction focusing solely on autographed memorabilia, with an emphasis on Upper Deck Authentics' signed items featuring Jordan, Woods and LeBron.

Legendary Auctions has rolled out the preview of its next auction that kicks off Mar. 25 and ends April 4. This auction is different from the norm for Legendary Auctions in that it is an autographed memorabilia-only auction, focusing on Upper Deck Authentics items and other in-person autographed memorabilia.

Legendary Auction decided to go this route for an auction when two different collections surfaced with an emphasis on modern, in-person autographs. Autograph collectors have come to respect Upper Deck Authentics (UDA) above all others in the “under contract” memorabilia game, and, in general, signatures obtained “in person” at shows or via other specially arranged and documented signings are always bought with a much greater degree of certainty. This auction will present a selection of items from both of these categories. The UDA collectibles in this auction cover all the major sports with an expected focus on the major stars like Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Brett Favre, Wayne Gretzky and Sandy Koufax.

There are many pieces from limited editions of very small quantities, including some incredible over-sized displays. The presentation of more than 200 signed basketballs covers seven decades of NBA and NCAA basketball and is replete with Hall of Famers, League MVPs, Championship Teams and unique inscriptions.
