A Heisman Trophy, World Series rings, Super Bowl tickets and even the Marriage Certificate from the most famous sports/Hollywood marriages ever are being offered in the 2017 Goldin Auctions Premium Live & Online Spring Auction. Seventy (70) premium lots of memorabilia are being sold at a live auction on May 20 at the NYY Steakhouse in New York City with an additional 2,000-plus lots up for bids at www.GoldinAuctions.com through June 3.

“We are incredibly proud of the diverse and historic items we have assembled for our Spring Premium Live and Online Auction,” said Ken Goldin, founder of Goldin Auctions. “The number of museum-quality items representing historic moment in sports is remarkable. With such marquee items as Paul Hornungs Heiman Trophy, the Joe DiMaggio-Marilyn Monroe marriage certificate and Barry Bonds’ home run #716 bat and uniform, we expect the bidding to be active and the atmosphere to be electric at the NYY Steakhouse on May 20.”

Here’s a look at some of the premium items. Lots #1-70 will be sold during the live auction on May 20. The rest of the lots are being sold in the online auction.

Lot #23 - Joe DiMaggio & Marilyn Monroe Marriage Certificate - Dated January 14, 1954, this State of California Certificate certifies that Joseph DiMaggio and Norma Jeane Dougherty were a married couple.

Lot #15 - 1961 Yogi Berra World Series Game Worn Jersey from Last Career World Series Home Run - The jersey has been photo-matched by both by MEARS and Resolution Photo Matching to the one Berra was wearing during Game 2 of the 1961 World Series explaining why Berra kept it in his home for 54 years until his death in 2015.

Lot #16 - Yogi Berra 1972 Hall of Fame Presentation Plaque - A photographic reproduction of Berra’s plaque has been matted and framed to 9 5/8 x 11 5/8 inches.

Lot #20 - 1939 Lou Gehrig All Star Game Presentation Pin - This pin is unique in that it is the only such pin not donated by Lou’s widow to the Hall of Fame after his death in 1941. It was given to one of the nurses who took care of the Yankee legend in his final days and had remained in her family until her nephew sold it in 1989. Since then the pin has been displayed at the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Lot #45 - 1956 Don Larson World Series MVP Award - Comes directly from Don Larsen’s personal collection with a signed Don Larsen LOA.

Lot #33 - Paul Hornung 1956 Heisman Trophy - This is one of several Heismans made for Hornung before the DAC changed the policy – one is on display at Notre Dame, another is at the Packers Hall of Fame and this is the one formerly on display at his home.

Lot #63 - 1973 Miami Dolphins Jesse Powell Super Bowl Ring - Manufactured by Jostens, this 10K gold ring weighs 40.4 grams and is sized approximately 11 ¾. The only other 1973 Dolphins player ring to be publicly sold was sold by Goldin Auctions in 2015 for more than $66,000 (Bob Heinz).

Lot #9 - Barry Bonds HR #716 Bat and Complete Uniform - The lot includes the complete jersey, pants, socks, bat, cleats, wrist bands and batting gloves worn by Bonds on June 5, 2006, when he hit career home run 716 off Marlins pitcher Brian Moehler in a 14-2 Giants win. All items include the inscription “6-5-06 #716” in silver marker.

Lot #4 - 1928 Jimmy Foxx Game Used Hillerich & Bradsby Factory Side Written Bat (GU10) - This bat was used by Foxx at the very beginning of his Hall of Fame career and comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA for the game use and a grade of perfect GU 10. The left, right and back barrel has many ball marks and a light coat of pine tar is still present on the handle.

Lot #2 - 1921-28 Ty Cobb Game used Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger Bat (MEARS A7) - Shows heavy game use with many ball marks with stitch impressions visible on the barrel. The handle is un-cracked and there is a slight amount of dead wood and checking from repeated ball contact. Multiple cleat marks can be seen through the surface of the bat, along with outline of previously applied tape to enhance the grip - both traits you want to see on a late-career Cobb bat. Comes with a full A7 LOA from MEARS for the game use.

Lot #25 - Ed Kranepool’s 1969 NY Mets World Series Ring - The New York native played his entire 18-year career with the Mets and was a key member of both the 1969 and ’73 World Series teams.
