Goldin Auctions has announced that it is accepting consignments through Sept. 8, for a special Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund Auction in which 100 percent of the bid price and buyer's premium for every item will be donated to the American Red Cross.

The special auction, which has been approved by the American Red Cross, is being held as part of the Goldin Auctions October Legend Auction from early October through Nov. 4. Ken Goldin, Founder of Goldin Auctions kicked off the fundraiser by donating $10,000 worth of memorabilia from his personal collection to the auction.

Consignment items that Goldin Auctions is accepting for the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund Auction should be valued at over $200 and do not need to be authenticated. This includes: trading cards, comic books, autographs, political memorabilia, game-used memorabilia, coins, currency and more. Donors will have the option of having their name printed in the catalog alongside the items they donate. To consign an item, visit www.GoldinAuctions.com. Items must be consigned by Sept. 8 and arrive at Goldin Auctions by Sept. 12.

"We encourage the sports memorabilia community to come together to help the American Red Cross help the people of Texas during this difficult time," said Ken Goldin who conducted a similar auction following Superstorm Sandy in 2012. "Whether you can donate an item or place a bid, you can be assured that the full purchase price will help people in need. If current or former professional athletes, sports agents or anyone else in the sports and entertainment industry are looking for an easy way to help the American Red Cross, just donate a piece of memorabilia and we'll make sure it gets sold."
