Featuring items from all four major sports, the BricolSportsAuction.com April 13 auction is bound to attract all kinds of collectors.
The auction will feature more than 190 game-used and autographed jerseys, more than 60 autographed, game-used and game-model bats, and more than 280 autographed baseballs. In addition to the four major sports, the auction includes soccer, golf, boxing, tennis and celebrity items.
All autographed items are authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA) and all game-used jerseys and equipment is authenticated by Lou Lampson.
Without a doubt, game-used baseball jerseys will be gathering plenty of attention from collectors. Leading the way are a Derek Jeter 2003 Yankees road, a Roger Clemens (right) Yankees 2002 home, and a Mike Piazza 2001 Mets jersey.
Other baseball game-used jerseys include: a Chipper Jones 2001 Braves home, a Kevin Brown Yankees 2005 home, a David Wells Yankees 2003 road, a Jason Giambi 2005 Yankees home, a Jose Canseco 1986 Athletics home, a Edgar Renteria 2003 Cardinals home, a George Bell 1986 Blue Jays home, a Burt Hooton 1981 Dodgers road, and a Joe Coleman 1971 Tigers flannel road.
When you think of game-used items, a game-used cap usually isn't the first item that comes to mind. Nolan Ryan collectors will want to be aware of the Ryan 1980-88 Astros game-used cap.
Another cap that should prove to be popular is a George Brett early 1990s Royals autographed and game-used cap. Another Brett item available is a 1990 Royals (third batting title) autographed and game-used bat.
Game-used bat collectors will be watching the following available bats very closely: a Mo Vaughn 1991 Red Sox rookie bat, a Miguel Tejada 2004 Orioles bat, and a Rafael Palmeiro 2002 Rangers autographed bat.
Other baseball items that are available include: a Yankees Hall of Fame/stars autographed ball that contains 15 signatures; a Roger Maris 3-by-5-inch ink signature; a Joe DiMaggio autographed 25-by-32-inch color "Yankee Legends" litho; an Eddie Bennett, who was a Yankees batboy in 1927, ink signature; and 2001 White Sox autographed game-used jersey and pants worn by Carlos Lee, as well as a 2003 game-used cap from Lee.
Football items in the auction include: a Windlan Hall 49ers game-used Riddell suspension helmet; a Michael Vick (upper right) Virginia Tech Hokies 2000 game-used jersey; a 1955 Bowman football card set; a 1992 49ers autographed Wilson ball with more than 50 signatures; a Roy Williams Lions 2004 game-used jersey; a Floyd Kerr Bears 1970 game-used jersey; a 1976 Topps football card set; a Russell Erxleben Saints 1979-83 game-used jersey; and a Rod Woodson 1995 Steelers game-used road preseason jersey.
Hockey items in the auction include: a Mike Bossy 1983-84 Islanders game-used road jersey; a Brian Leetch 1996-97 Rangers game-used road jersey; a Luc Robitaille 1993 NHL 44th All-Star autographed game-used jersey; a Sergei Fedorov Red Wings 2002-03 game-used road jersey; a 1980 U.S. Olympic Team autographed jersey with 20 signatures; an Igor Larionov Devils 2003-04 game-used jersey; a 1980 U.S. Olympic Team autographed 16-by-20-inch color photo with 20 signatures; a Denis Potvin Team Canada 1985-86 dual-autographed game-used jersey; a Geoff Sanderson Whalers 1995-96 game-used jersey; an Adam Oates Bruins 1996-97 game-used jersey; a Tom Barrasso Hurricanes 2001-02 game-used road jersey; and a 1980 U.S. Olympic Team autographed ball with 20 signatures.
Other items in the auction include: a 1973 New York Knicks "World Champions" legends autographed 24-by-29-inch color 1990 framed litho with seven signatures; a Pele autographed Wilson soccer ball; a Pele autographed 16-by-20-inch black-and-white photo; an Arizona State Sun Devils Marlon Farlow 1996 Player's ring; a Bill Russell/Bobby Orr Boston Garden autographed double stadium seat; and a Bill Clinton autographed ball.
