Victor Wembanyama rookie card lands NBA star on PSA’s card-based MLB All-Star team
In honor of the July 16 MLB All-Star Game, card-grading company PSA has created its own all-star teams based on the most graded and most popular baseball cards during the 2024 season.
While the PSA All-Star team is heavy on rising, young stars and their hottest rookie cards, it also features some of the game’s biggest names, including Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Mike Trout, Juan Soto, Justin Verlander, Bryce Harper, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and the injured Ronald Acuna Jr.
Among the top rookies highlighted on the team are Jackson Holliday, Elly De La Cruz, Wyatt Langford and Paul Skenes.
The team features one oddity: NBA Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama is listed as the AL starting pitcher because of his popular rookie card picturing him throwing out a ceremonial first pitch for the New York Yankees.
