Topps released its new 2022 Series 2 Baseball collection Friday, expanding on the Series 1 released earlier this year and bringing the full Topps 2022 baseball set to 660 cards in total.
The series adds the next batch of base cards for 2022, filling in cards #331 to #660.
The new 330-card set features cards celebrating modern-day stars, emerging rookies, team cards and legendary greats. Series 2 also includes exclusive silver packs with one in every Hobby Box and two in every Hobby Jumbo Box. The exclusive silver packs include MLB veterans, rookies and retired greats on Topps’ chrome technology cards.
Parallels include Red Foilboard, Independence Day and several other colors.
Among the top hits are numerous auto cards, including Baseball Stars Autographs numbered to #/5 or less and 1987 Topps Baseball Autographs with parallels.
Other highlights from Series 2 include:
• New Sweet Shades Inserts printed on foilboard, featuring players with some of the coolest sunglasses in the game.
• New Diamond Greats Die Cuts showcasing 25 additional all-time greats on die-cut cards, continuing from Series 1.
• A new Generation Now Set, celebrating the newest generation of MLB Stars building on the Series 1 collection to make a 90-card set.
