Ray Lewis offering NFL, Pro Bowl memorabilia through eBay, Notable Live
Pro football Hall of Famer Ray Lewis had so much fun serving as a coach in the NFL Pro Bowl in February that he decided to share some of his gear from the game with fans.
Lewis, a 13-time Pro Bowler during his 17-year career, served as a coach for the AFC during the Pro Bowl Games. He is auctioning off memorabilia from the game and from his NFL career through a partnership with eBay and Notable Live.
“Taking part as a coach for the AFC in the first-ever Pro Bowl Games back in early February was an awesome opportunity to be around the guys watching from the sidelines,” Lewis said recently in an email interview. “It was a lot of fun to be around them and [AFC head coach] Peyton Manning. And since it was the first-time event, I thought it would be great to share some of the game-worn items with my fans.”
The auction, which features game-worn helmets and jerseys as well as apparel and gear from the Pro Bowl, opened on May 15 and runs through May 26.
Lewis, a two-time Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl MVP, is teaming up with another football Hall of Famer in three-time Super Bowl winner Emmitt Smith, who owns Notable Live and recently partnered with eBay to engage with fans and offer game-worn NFL memorabilia.
“I have always had a tremendous amount of respect for Emmitt,” said Lewis, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year. “I have followed his auctions and success with Notable Live. Emmitt and I talk frequently and when the Notable Live concept was initially brought to me, it directly aligned with my core initiatives and was one of the main reasons why I got involved with Notable Live.
”We've built an incredible interactive player portal with Notable Live to connect with the fan base. And through the power of eBay, I can share my possessions in a unique and first-rate fashion.”
Among the key Lewis items up for bid are a signed football with the inscriptions: “2X SB Champs,” “SB XXXV MVP,” “HOF 18,” and “NFL Top 100.”
Among the signed, game-worn items from the 2023 Pro Bowl are: a red collared shirt; white collared shirt; baseball cap; Nike sneakers; white bucket hat; black shorts; and a red hoodie sweatshirt.
Lewis was honored to be chosen to participate in the 2023 Pro Bowl and proud to offer his items from the game.
“Peyton Manning chose me to be his defensive coordinator for the flag football games, which was a big honor,” he said. “I had such a good time hanging with today's NFL stars and seeing them in action. I was there to impart a few pieces of advice on how to attack the NFC's offense and to cheer the guys on. I hope I can do it again sometime!”
Also available is some memorable and historic gear from his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens, including:
• Alternate Flash full-size authentic speed helmet with “All I do is Grind” inscription.
• Alternate Eclipse full-size authentic speed helmet with “HOF 18” inscription.
• Full-size authentic speed helmet with eight inscriptions.
• Alternate camo full-size authentic speed helmet with “XXXV MVP” inscription.
Before being drafted in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft, Lewis was a two-time All-American at the University of Miami. His Miami gear up for bid includes three full-size Hurricanes helmets, including one inscribed “2X All American” and “All About the U.”
Lewis has a lot more memorabilia from his playing days that hopes to share with fans soon. But there are two items he does not plan to part with.
“My two Super Bowl rings,” he wrote with a smile emoji.
