Pete Rose game-used bat, Cal Ripken Jr. minor league rookie card highlight Huggins & Scott auction

A bat all-time hits leader Pete Rose used from 1965-68 highlights the Summer Auction at Huggins & Scott Auctions.

A bat all-time hits leader Pete Rose used early in his career and a Cal Ripken Jr. rookie card from his minor-league career highlight the Summer Catalog Auction at Huggins & Scott Auctions.

The auction, which runs through Aug. 1, will feature more than 1,800 lots of vintage sport and non-sport collectibles.

The Pete Rose-signed Louisville Slugger bat was used by Rose 1965 and 1968.

The auction also features a wide range of sports cards, including a 1980 Charlotte O's Police Orange Border Cal Ripken Jr. Minor League Rookie card graded PSA 6.5. Also features are a 1935 National Chicle Football #34 Bronko Nagurski card (PSA 4), and a 1968 Topps #177 Nolan Ryan Rookie (PSA 8).

“There is tremendous diversity across the board in our Summer Auction,” said Huggins & Scott Vice President & Director of Consignments Ron Oser. “We’re presenting some exceptional items to the hobby for the first time, and we’re excited to be able to showcase the items from this auction at the upcoming National Sports Collectors Convention.”

• 1909-1911 T206 White Border Sherry Magie (Error) (SGC VG 3)

• 1933 American League Inaugural All-Star Team-signed OAL Harridge Baseball with 19 autographs, including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Jimmie Foxx.

• 1939 Hall of Fame Induction multi-signed baseball with eight autographs, including Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson and Honus Wagner.

• Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods multi-signed “Legend of Sport” platinum edition art print.

• 1933 Goudey #149 Babe Ruth (PSA 4).

• 1965 Topps Football #122 Joe Namath Rookie SP “Butterfly” Variation (PSA 7).

• 1955 Bowman 5-cent unopened wax pack (PSA 8).

• 1952 Topps #261 Willie Mays (PSA 5).
