Julius Erving rookie card, NBA gems highlight Marquee Auction at eBay

With the NBA playoffs in full swing, eBay features some key, high-end NBA basketball cards in its May Marquee Auction.

The auction, which runs through May 23, features such NBA legends as Dr. J, Julius Erving, and such current stars as Anthony Edwards and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The highlight is a signed 1972-73 Topps Julius Erving rookie card graded BGS 10. Erving took the ABA by storm in 1971-72, averaging 27 points per game. He bumped his scoring average to 31.9 points in 1972-73, and then won three straight ABA MVPs before the ABA-NBA merger.

Also featured is a 2020 Panini Hoops card signed by young stars Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball and graded PSA 9 with an Auto 10.

The auction also features a 2018 Panini Prizm Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Blue Ice, graded BGS 9.5. SGA averaged 30.1 point per game this season to the lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to the playoffs.
