Panini, Dallas Mavericks Agree to Marketing, Game-Used Memorabilia Deal
Panini America and the Dallas Mavericks announced they have signed a multi-year marketing and game-worn memorabilia agreement.
In addition to game-worn memorabilia, the Dallas Mavericks will work with Panini Authentic (www.paniniauthentic.com) to sell unique limited-edition Championship memorabilia from the 2011 NBA Finals games played at American Airlines Center and promote Panini America NBA trading cards.
The partnership represents the first team memorabilia deal for Panini Authentic, which previously had worked exclusively with professional athletes from every major sport, including the NBA. The Dallas Mavericks’ game-worn jerseys, uniforms and Championship memorabilia will be available. Panini Authentic will implement the same authentication process it has used with the NBA’s biggest stars to ensure that every game-worn item adheres to Panini Authentic’s strict authentication and certification process.
“We are pleased to announce the partnership with the Dallas Mavericks and our Panini Authentic group to bring Mavericks Championship memorabilia and 2011-12 game-worn uniforms to collectors and Dallas Mavericks fans,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop.
“We were impressed with Panini Authentic’s commitment to authenticity and their ability to reach our most avid fans to deliver our game-worn memorabilia,” said Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks. “Our fans should be excited to have access to these exclusive items. We look forward to a great partnership with Panini.”
