Topps Tier One Baseball Cards Guarantees ‘Crowd Pleaser’ Autographs
The 2012 edition of Topps Tier One Baseball is a lot like Joe Namath in that it isn't afraid of guarantees. In fact, Topps is telling the world about them.
Each pack of the product, which is scheduled to release the week of June 18, is guaranteed to have one "crowd pleaser" autograph or multi-auto or cut signature and one On the Rise autograph and 1 relic card numbered to 399 or less. For those of you who buy multiple packs or boxes, every fourth pack in this product is said to hold a bonus relic card.
All signatures are directly on-card, according to Topps. New for this set are Clear Rookie Reprint autographs, autographed relic cards and 1-of-1 bat knob cards. Player autographs include Hank Aaron, Sandy Koufax, Carlton Fisk, Johnny Bench, Willie Mays, Carl Yastrzemski and many more.
The Top Tier autos will be numbered to 99 or less and feature blue ink. The On the Rise autos will feature 75 young stars and be numbered to 399 or less (also in blue ink). Crowd Pleasers will feature 75 subjects, numbered to 299 or less. Parallels exist for all three categories.
The bat knob cards will feature 100 different stars past and present, all of them numbered 1-of-1.
