Ruth, FDR Signed Balls, Top 10 1952 Topps Set at Mile High

Led by one of the finest single-signed Babe Ruth baseballs in existence, an incredibly rare Franklin D. Roosevelt single-signed OAL (Harridge) ball inscribed to Clark Griffith and attributed to Opening Day 1937 and a complete 1952 Topps set rated No. 10 on the PSA Set Registry, Mile High Card Co. kicks off its latest auction.

Mile High Card Co. is ready to welcome collectors and hobbyists to the 37th Annual National Sports Collectors Convention by exhibiting world-class items that will be part of one of the strongest and most comprehensive auctions in MHCC history, led by one of the finest single-signed Babe Ruth baseballs in existence, an incredibly rare Franklin D. Roosevelt single-signed OAL (Harridge) ball inscribed to Clark Griffith and attributed to Opening Day 1937 and a complete 1952 Topps set rated No. 10 on the PSA Set Registry.

“We’ve always been the industry leader in high-grade sports cards, and this auction is loaded with them, but our selection of game-used and autographed items is truly impressive as well,” said Mile High CEO and President Brian Drent. This event begins on July 25 and runs through August 18.

In addition to a 1979-80 Larry Bird rookie year complete uniform graded MEARS A10, other key items include a 1969-70 Reggie Jackson Oakland A's game-worn green mist vest style flannel jersey, 1977 Joe Namath Los Angeles Rams game-used home jersey and 1979-81 Joe Montana San Francisco 49ers game-worn rookie era jersey MEARS A10, 1938 New York Yankees team ball with (21) signatures featuring Gehrig and DiMaggio, 1931 New York Yankees Junior League Baseball with (22) signatures featuring Ruth and Gehrig, and 1927 Washington Senators OAL (Johnson) ball with (26) signatures featuring Walter Johnson and Tris Speaker.

The No. 10 PSA Set Registry-ranked 1952 Topps set will be offered both as a complete collection as well as individual lots and sold in whichever format is higher. The assemblage includes #1 Andy Pafko PSA 7 NM, #261 Willie Mays PSA 7 NM, #312 Jackie Robinson PSA 7 NM, #314 Roy Campanella PSA 8 NM/MT and #407 Ed Mathews PSA 7 NM, with a stunning example of #311 Mickey Mantle PSA 7, one of four 1952 Topps Mantle cards in the auction with a PSA 6, EX+ 5.5 and a PSA 4 also available.
