‘Mantle Monday’ continues through Sept. 11

Panini America is in the midst of using its Panini Eternal on-demand trading card platform to honor the legendary Mickey Mantle with a weekly initiative that just might make baseball fans and collectors start embracing a case of the Mondays. It’s called “Mantle Monday,” and every Monday through Sept. 11, Panini Eternal will launch a new card honoring a Mick milestone.

The first card in the series looked back at Mantle’s big-league debut in 1951. Each card in the Mantle Monday series will be available to order for just one week and will feature a base Gray version as well as a Blue version (numbered to just seven) and a Black version (numbered to only one). A complete release schedule is listed below.

June 5: Big-League Debut

June 12: First Home Run

June 19: 100th Home Run

June 26: 1st MVP

July 3: Triple Crown Winner

July 10: 200th Home Run

July 17: 2nd MVP

July 24: 300th Home Run

July 31: 400th Home Run

Aug. 7: 7th World Series Title

Aug. 14: 3rd MVP
