A lot of personal collections have come to auction of late, from Julius Erving to Ted Williams to Tommy John. Lelands is serving up another round of personal items, this time related to boxing heavyweight Mike Tyson.

The Tyson items come from the Steve Lott Collection. Lott was Tyson’s assistant manager early in his career and the auction will feature more than 100 items from that collection in the form of fight-worn shorts, gloves, shoes and even used mouthpieces and handwraps.

The Tyson memorabilia is just part of the current Lelands auction, which is live now and runs through June 15. The auction will also include more than 150 lots of high-grade T206 singles, a rare Honus Wagner card and numerous championship rings in baseball, basketball and boxing.

Baseball
One of the true gems in the auction is the 1897-99 Honus Wagner Henry Reccius Cigars card slabbed PSA Authentic. According to Lelands, this card is the rarest of all vintage Honus Wagner cards with only two copies in the PSA population report and no copies graded by SGC. Bidding was already at more than $10,000 at press time.

The collection of T206 cards is led by Ty Cobb, specifically his Bat Off Shoulder (PSA 7) and Red Portrait (PSA 7). The other big names are here, too, including Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson and Cy Young.

Other top baseball cards include a 1950-51 Toleteros Joshua Gibson PSA 4, a lot of five 1903-04 Breisch-Williams cards, a high-grade 1963 Topps set and numerous other complete sets, box lots and commons grouped for those looking to fill out sets.

Championship rings in this category include a 1950 Johnny Hopp New York Yankees World Championship ring, along with Yankees championship rings from 1998 and 2009.
More items from the Sal LaRocca Collection of Brooklyn Dodgers memorabilia make an appearance here, headlined by a Leo Durocher 1945 game-worn uniform and a circa 1955 Clem Labine Brooklyn Dodgers jacket. There’s also a nice stash of Brooklyn Dodgers World Series tickets, including many phantoms, and more than a dozen game-used bats.

One of the biggest signed items is a 1939 Cooperstown Hall of Fame induction signed ball, with signatures from all 11 inductees who attended the ceremonies: Babe Ruth, Grover Cleveland Alexander, Honus Wagner, Eddie Collins, Connie Mack, Cy Young, Larry Lajoie, George Sisler, Tris Speaker, Ty Cobb and Walter Johnson.

Game-used jerseys tipping the scales are a 1938 Casey Stengel Boston Bees game-worn jersey and a Hank Aaron example from 1962 (already past $25,000 at press time).

Boxing and football
As mentioned, the Steve Lott Collection of Tyson memorabilia includes some rare pieces, such as Tyson’s first boxing licenses from Nevada and New York, early manager contracts, onsite posters, training equipment and the aforementioned fight-worn material.

The Lott Collection also includes some early boxing artifacts such as fight posters, movie posters and statues.

The football category is led by a pair of championship rings complete with presentation boxes: Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl XL and Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl XXXV.
