Jordan leads Goldin Auctions' 2018 Summer Live and Premium Auction

Michael Jordan continues to soar, his collectibles that is, as one of his game used jerseys from the 1997-98 season recently sold for $122,750.

Fresh on the heels of Goldin Auctions’ record-setting live auction at the National Sports Collector’s Convention, the catalog portion of the Goldin Auctions 2018 Summer Live and Premium Auction recently concluded. The 900 lots of sports, entertainment and historical memorabilia netted a combined $4 million in sales.

The highlight of the catalog auction was a 1997-98 Michael Jordan game used, signed and photo-matched Chicago Bulls home jersey for his 5,000th career assist – dated to 4/11/98 versus Orlando, during his final MVP and championship season selling for $122,750. A Michael Jordan 1986-87 Fleer Basketball PSA MINT 9 and PSA GEM MINT 10 complete 132-card set sold for $47,872.

Other highlights of the catalog auction included:

• 2016 Mike Trout game used photo matched red alternate jersey worn 8/11, 8/15 & 8/16 for career HRs 161 & 162 – Final Price $12,275

• Ronald Reagan signed handwritten Oath of Office – $18,412

• John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson rocking chair – $12,275

• 1861 Abraham Lincoln signed hand-written letter – $17,185

• 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle rookie card PSA GD2 – $17,185

• 1951 Bowman #253 Mickey Mantle rookie card SGC 84 NM 7 – $19,640

• 1966/67 Topps #35 Bobby Orr rookie card KSA GEM MINT 10 – $14,370
