The March auction features an amazing array of sports and non-sports items that cater to every level of collector and investor. Whether you only want to spend a few hundred dollars or several thousand dollars, our selection of quality items has a little something for just about everyone.

Vintage card collectors will enjoy an abundance of 19th century and early 20th century rarities including professionally graded and raw examples of cards from a variety of designations, including a scarce D304 Brunner’s Bread Ty Cobb; one of the very rare T206 Sherry Magie error cards; an attractive T227 Honest Long Cut Ty Cobb; and a variety of tobacco and candy cards from the turn of the century. As always, we present numerous complete and near sets from 1910-present.

Several postwar card highlights include the several complete sets from the 1940s to present with many high-grade stars; and numerous wonderful “shoebox” collections (always a crowd favorite).

Other phenomenal artifacts in this auction include a variety of items from former Detroit Tigers third baseman Don Wert, including a game-used uniform, game-used bats from All Star and World Series games, team-signed baseballs and more. Another amazing collection of personal items from former Syracuse Basketball team-captain, Kueth Duany from the 2002-03 National Championship team, with three pieces from the Championship Net, his game-used uniforms, 1,000-point commemorative ball, Final Four Watch and much more.

Staying in the memorabilia category, we are pleased offer a game bat given to Bob Cerv from Mickey Mantle, with a letter from Cerv; an amazing 1929 George “High Pockets” Kelly game-used and signed bat (PSA/DNA 8.5); one of the exceedingly scarce 1888 Galaxy of The National League Hastings Prints; a 1904 Providence Grays Team Composite Photograph with 11 future Major League players and many more.

As with all of Huggins and Scott Auctions, we have a large number of autographed lots including baseballs, bats, lithographs, photographs and others consigned by collectors from all across the country. Highlights include a Roberto Clemente signed 1968 Topps Game Card; a Rocky Marciano single-signed baseball, a run of (36) single-signed 1996 World Series baseballs, each signed by a member of the World Champion New York Yankees with Jeter, Steinbrenner and more; a stunning Thomas Edison signed index card, graded a Perfect 10 by BGS; and many more.

If political or Americana collecting is your hobby, this auction has quite a few choice pieces for you including a pair of high-heeled shoes worn by Marilyn Monroe; one of the most impressive collection of US Coins (Morgan dollars, Silver Eagle coins and more), bullion, gold, silver and international coins that we’ve ever offered; an incredible collection of National Geographics from 1890-present; a beautiful Neil Armstrong signed Life Magazine from 1969; documents with signatures of Millard Fillmore and Daniel Webster; FDR, Harry Truman, James Garfield, Ulysses S. Grant and more.
