We all know the Go Daddy company simply for its commercials. The company sells domain names, and now auction houses are getting in the act, too. Forget authentication fees and grading, this is straight-up sales of domain names for those looking to start businesses or make money down the road. And some are bringing decent money.

GradedCards.com and three other sports collectibles-related domain names are being offered in Heritage Auctions' inaugural Domain Name & Intellectual Property Signature Auction. Bidding is now open until the live, online auction on Nov. 21.

In addition to GradedCards.com, other domain names in the auction include BasketballMemorabilia.com, FootballUniforms.com and FootballEquipment.com.

"This marks the first time that a major, mainstream auction house has entered the market for domain names," said Aron Meystedt, the founder and director of the Domain Names & Intellectual Property category at Heritage.
