The Major League Baseball All-Star Festivities are already underway in Kansas City, with the Futures Game taking place yesterday, FanFest in full swing and the Home Run derby tonight – all leading up to the actual All-Star game on Tuesday.

Another big event taking place in Kansas City is the Hunt Auctions live auction taking place during All-Star FanFest, held at the Kansas City Convention Center, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10. Each year during FanFest, Hunt outs together a baseball-only auction that is one of the best of the year.

The catalog is headlined by the personal collection of Harmon Killebrew. This features more than 200 lots, including numerous signed items from Killebrew and dozens of other Hall of Famers, signed game-used jerseys, presidential signatures, personal wristwatches, trophies, original artwork, game-used bats and personal artifacts.

The auction also includes a beautiful display of signed HOF postcards, index cards and single-signed baseball from the best to play in the game.

The highlighted piece of the auction, with current bidding at $120,000, is a Ty Cobb professional model bat circa 1919-22 that is from fellow Tiger and friend Eddie Onslow (bat comes from Onslow's family).

And speaking of personal artifacts from Hall of fame players, Jim Palmer is offering up his 1973, 1975, and 1976 Cy Young Awards, and his Gold Glove Awards from 1976 and 1979.

There are hundreds of other great lots in the 656-lot auction, including a fine 1951 Brooklyn Dodgers Pee Wee Reese jersey, Ted Williams game-used bat and a ball from the 1928 World Series that is attributed to being the home run Lou Gehrig hit in Game 1.
