’55 Dodgers team-signed ball, Paige ‘Best Wishes’
Fans of "Dem Bums" will be interested to know that a 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers team-signed baseball headlines Premier Auctions' sale, which ends June 21.
Also among the stars of the auction are a 500 Home Run Club signed baseball and a Satchel Paige "Best Wishes" signed baseball.
The auction also boasts a selection of World Series champions team-signed balls. There are about 60-plus hall of famer single-signed basketballs. In addition, there are more than 100 signed baseball and basketball jerseys with several game-used, including signed game shorts from Dirk Nowitzki and Kobe Byrant.
Also featured are more than 100 golf items. Each is signed by past champions, including more than 30 single-signed golf balls from past Masters winners.
Meanwhile, the auction will also feature hockey items from several deceased hall of famers from the 1940s-50s.
"An interesting piece to note is an original AP wire transcript from the New York office, covering the first Ali-Frazier fight," said Premier Auctions' Matthew Palermo. "It is over 20 feet long and recounts the entire fight as told over the wire. It will be interesting to see how this does."
