1937 Lou Gehrig World Series jersey, Shohei Ohtani 50/50 bats headline SCP Fall Auction
Memorabilia from Yankee legend Lou Gehrig has always commanded high bids and big dollars on the sports collectibles market.
One of the finest Gehrig jerseys ever offered publicly headlines the 2025 Fall Premier Auction at SCP Auctions.

The jersey has been photo-matched to the 1937 World Series, as well as to the photo used for his plaque at Yankee Stadium’s Monument Park and various other 1937 regular-season games, including a two-homer performance on Aug. 5. It has a pre-sale estimate of $3 million.
The auction, which runs through Nov. 22, is also headlined by the home run ball from Shohei Ohtani’s second of three home runs in Game 4 of the NLCS. Also featured is an Ohtani bat photo-matched to five home runs during his historic 50/50 2024 season. Babe Ruth (1923-25) andn Willie Mays (1965-68) game-used bats are also up for bid.
Among vintage cards are a 1933 Goudey complete PSA-graded set of 239 cards ranked 20th on the PSA Set Registry and 15th in overall value; a 1948 George Mikan rookie card (PSA 8); and the highest SGC-graded 1935 Goudey 4-in-1 Babe Ruth (NM-MT 8).
Also up for bid is the collection of five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher, including game-worn jerseys from 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2012.
Other game-worn memorabilia includes: a 2024 Cal Raleigh helmet photo-matched to 43 games, including a walk-off grand slam; Kobe Bryant’s shoes from Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals; and a 2019 LeBron James photo-matched Lakers jersey from a 31-point game.
The auction features nearly 125 original Type 1 photos, including: an iconic April 17, 1951 Mickey Mantle debut photo with Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams; a 1921 Babe Ruth leaping catch image; and a classic shot from the DiMaggio collection of Lou Gehrig leaping over his bat.
