That’s My Ticket Dips Into College Ranks
On March 26, 1979, more than 15,400 college basketball fans watched Larry Bird against Magic Johnson in the Special Events Center in Salt Lake City, Utah when Indiana State and Michigan State battled for the NCAAMen’s Basketball National Championship. The fans left the building knowing they just witnessed basketball history. They also left with ticket stubs in their pockets.
Today, a new product line commemorating historical college sports events is being introduced. Made directly from authentic game tickets, Mega Tickets and Mini-Mega Tickets from That's My Ticket provide fans with a new item to capture the memories of historic college championship events including the NCAA Men’s Final Four, the NCAA College World Series, the NCAA Frozen Four, the Rose Bowl Game, and more. This new collectible memento is officially licensed through The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), an IMG company, and will be marketed as a part of the College Vault program, a vintage-inspired collection of college merchandise.
The first items available from That's My Ticket's College Vault collection will include historic Rose Bowl Game tickets dating back to the 1940s and 1950s. These game tickets are used to create stunning wall art. Mega Tickets feature authentic tickets enlarged 500%, printed on canvas, and stretch mounted. Mini-Mega Tickets are significantly smaller with game tickets enlarged 200% and printed directly onto ¼-inch thick white PVC board. Both products are ideal for autographs and trumpet the details of each historic game such as date, location, cost of entry, and, of course, the iconic imagery of the time used as artwork.
“Tickets have always told a story and transported fans to an exact moment in sports history,” says That's My Ticket President Dean Macchi. “Now, our Mega Tickets and Mini-Mega Tickets will do this for some of college sports’ greatest events. Fans can hang one in their home or office where it will spark game-specific conversations for years.”
Mega Tickets and Mini-Mega Tickets are perfect for autographs, giving fans a new option for adding signatures to game-specific products.
“We are excited to add That’s My Ticket to the College Vault collection and look forward to seeing how they bring historic event tickets to life for fans of college sports,” stated Kit Walsh, CLC’s Vice President of Marketing.
