Steiner Inks U. of Alabama to Marketing Deal

Division called Alabama Collectibles will offer game-used gear, Ticket Collage reprints and other memorabilia.

Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, the University of Alabama, CBS College Sports and Steiner Sports announced the formation of Alabama Collectibles by Steiner Sports. Steiner Sports’ director of collegiate partnerships Pete Kelly joined Brad Hattendorf, director, University Relations – South East Region in making the announcement last week.

The partnership will offer a variety of collectibles and experiences including game-used gear, photos and game-day experiences, which will be available through an online store and web auctions at and the soon-to-be-launched Steiner Sports also obtained photography rights to Crimson Tide football.

“There are only a handful of collegiate programs that can be considered household names, and Alabama is certainly one of them,” said Kelly. “The school is rich in tradition and history, and has one of the most passionate fan bases I have ever seen. We are thrilled to be able to have this opportunity to work with Alabama, and to bring their fans even closer to the game.”

The game-used gear will include helmets, jerseys and footballs. The other memorabilia includes Ticket Collage reprints featuring Alabama’s greatest game, autographed collectibles featuring the Crimson Tide’s greatest names, a 1979 Team Reunion Series, and archive photos.

Steiner has similar marketing and memorabilia partnerships with the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Dallas Cowboys, Notre Dame and Syracuse University.
