The National Sports Collectors Convention recently announced that the largest show in the Hobby will return to Cleveland in 2022.

The National Sports Collectors Convention will return to Cleveland in 2022.

Returning to Cleveland is the result of a vote of eligible National exhibitors who selected the site for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 National.

The press release announcing the vote results stated, “Based on the success of the event in Cleveland this year, it is no surprise that exhibitors elected to return to Cleveland in 2022 by more than a 2-1 vote.”

Despite the success of the National in Cleveland this year, there were complaints about the lack of wifi for use by exhibitors. To help solve that problem, representatives of the I-X Center have formulated a plan to provide free wifi for exhibitors to access email and to surf the web. Free wifi access will also be provided for attendees, which will be suitable for checking emails and basic Internet website browsing along a designated area in the pavilion.

The schedule for the National for the next five years is as follows:

  • 2019 – Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Chicago, IL
  • 2020 – Atlantic City Convention Center, Atlantic City, NJ
  • 2021 – Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Chicago, IL
  • 2022 – International Exposition (I-X) Center, Cleveland, OH
  • 2023 – Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Chicago, IL

The 40th National Sports Collectors Convention will be held July 31-Aug. 4, 2019 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago. Dealer booths are sold out for the 2019 National. Tickets for the 2019 National will be available in March. Autograph guest announcements will also begin to be announced in March.
