Cal Ripken Jr. minor-league card sets record at Huggins & Scott

A 1980 Cal Ripken Jr. minor-league rookie card set a record in the Huggins & Scott’s Summer Catalog Auction that closed Aug. 1.

The 1980 Charlotte O's Police Orange Border Cal Ripken Jr. Minor League Rookie (PSA EX-MT+ 6.5) sold for $69,000, shattering the previous record.

Another top seller was a 1935 National Chicle Football #34 Bronko Nagurski PSA VG-EX 4 that sold for $34,800, a new record for the grade.
