A 1980 Cal Ripken Jr. minor-league rookie card set a record in the Huggins & Scott’s Summer Catalog Auction that closed Aug. 1.

Another top seller was a 1935 National Chicle Football #34 Bronko Nagurski PSA VG-EX 4 that sold for $34,800, a new record for the grade.

“This event demonstrated that there is strong interest in a variety of sport and non-sport collectibles, an exciting trend that we’re seeing across the broader hobby right now,” said Huggins & Scott Vice President & Director of Consignments Ron Oser. “We’re very appreciative to all of our consignors who have unearthed some incredible pieces and continue to put their trust in us.”
