With All Elite Wrestling gaining steam and giving WWE its first real competition since the Attitude Era of the 1990s, Upper Deck has launched its first series of AEW trading cards.

The highly anticipated release is the latest in Upper Deck’s growing portfolio and offers wrestling fans and collectors of wrestling memorabilia an alternative to Topps’ WWE brand.

AEW has become the nation’s fastest growing wrestling organization thanks in large part to such former WWE stars as Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan in WWE), John Moxley and such wrestling legends at Sting and Kenny Omega.

All are featured in Upper Deck’s first AEW series, along with new stars The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), AEW World Champion Hangman Page, AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Lucha Brothers, Miro, Darby Allin and more.

“The response to our exclusive AEW relationship was overwhelming, so we are excited to release our highly anticipated inaugural set,” said Upper Deck Sports Brand Manager Paul Zickler. “We’re thrilled to put AEW’s renowned talent in the spotlight like never before.”

The inaugural AEW set features several rare and iconic cards, including shadowbox cards in Wednesday In Action, rare autographs in The Dotted Line and memorable moments from the legendary career of Rhodes in Rhodes to Success.

Upper Deck has also teamed up with Jazwares, the exclusive licensor for AEW figurines, to create a 100-card Yellow base set. The set features 3-card packs in select Jazwares figurines starting with the release of Unmatched Series 3 in early 2022. A second wave is expected to hit store shelves in the spring with with Unrivaled Series 9.

Upper Deck AEW card sets are now available at hobby shops nationwide and through select retailers. The inaugural set will also be available at a later date through Upper Deck e-Pack, an online platform that allows collectors to buy, open, collect and trade digital and physical cards.
