Game-worn jerseys from Jordan, Kobe, Steph and Joe Lapchick highlight SCP auction

The 2025 Summer Premier Auction at SCP Auctions features game-worn memorabilia from such NBA legends as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Steph Curry.

It even features a 100-year-old game-worn jersey from Celtics star Joe Lapchick. That’s right, Joe Lapchick of the “Original Celtics” of New York in the 1920s and the former Knicks coach from 1947-56.

The century-old piece, which is accompanied by an LOA from Sports Investors and detailed provenance from the Lapchick family, has an estimated value of  $100,000-plus.

The 2025 Summer Premier Auction, which runs through July 26, features a wide range of game-worn and historically significant collectibles.

The shoes that Kobe Bryant wore during his first career NBA start on Jan. 28, 1997 are also among the headliners. The Adidas kicks are photo-matched by Sports Investors and dual-signed by the Bryant. They have an estimated value of $200,000-plus.

Another significant pair of shoes are the Air Jordan XIIIs worn by Jordan during Game 2 of the 1998 “Last Dance” NBA Finals. With an estimated value of $100,000-plus, the Air Jordans come with a Sports Investors LOA and letter from the Chicago Bulls.

The auction also features some significant and valuable championship jewelry, including: Joe DiMaggio’s 1950 and 1977 World Series rings;  a 1983 Philadelphia 76ers NBA championship player’s ring; and a 2007 Boston Red Sox World Series ring.

The auction also features the collection of former Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman and six-time MLB All Star Ron Cey. Cey, who will be inducted into the Legends of Dodgers Baseball on July 18, is auctioning his 1981 World Series ring, MVP award and trophy, as well as many other rings, awards, and game-used items.

Other game-worn memorabilia include: a 2013 Lionel Messi FC Barcelona shirt photo-matched to Gorgeous Golazo; Kobe’s shoes from Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals; and a Stephen Curry jersey from the Warriors 2022 championship season.

Rare, autographed memorabilia includes a Pope Francis single-signed baseball and a one-of-a-kind Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Aaron Judge triple-signed baseball.

The auction also includes nearly 50 rare and historic PSA/DNA Type 1 original photographs, including Jordan’s Last Shot in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals.
