Topps has signed an exclusive multi-year autograph trading card deal with Japanese pitcher Yu Darvish. The deal also gives Topps rights to produce memorabilia cards, insert cards and base cards.

Darvish will make his first autograph card appearance in the upcoming Topps Tribute Baseball. The card will be limited to 25 and will be available via redemption. In addition, Darvish autographs will appear in both Topps Museum Collection Baseball (30 cards) and Gypsy Queen Baseball (25 cards).

2012 Bowman Baseball will feature Darvish Autographs in a bigger way. This is where collectors will find Darvish’s autographed Bowman Chrome rookie card (see image).

On the heels of Bowman, collectors will find an array of autographed cards from Darvish in Topps products, including Topps Archives, Topps Series 2, Tier One, Allen & Ginter, Bowman Platinum and Topps Chrome in 2012.

Darvish is one of the most heralded Japanese players to ever come to the U.S. At only 25 years old, Darvish has two MVPs, three strikeout titles (Japanese Pacific League) and a win-loss record of 93-38 under his belt.
