Topps celebrates 70th anniversary in Baseball Series 1

2021 Topps Series 1 Baseball

In this year’s release of its popular Baseball Series 1, Topps celebrates 70 years of Topps Baseball Cards, highlighting new rookies, modern-day stars and the legendary players of the game.

Collectors will find all-new autographs, relics and inserts in packs of this series celebrating the rich history of Major League Baseball and Topps, on this Platinum Anniversary.

As part of the celebration, Topps is giving away in its packs of cards 25 tickets for two people to attend a unique Topps event in the fall, featuring players, exclusive trading cards and more.

Among the 330 base cards in the set are Rookies, Future Stars, MLB Veterans, Team Cards, World Series Highlights and League Leaders. New among the parallels numbered to 2021, 99, 76, 70, 50, 25 and 10, with two 1-of-1s, is Platinum Anniversary.

Inserts feature 70 Years of Topps Baseball, a 70-card set celebrating the iconic designs from the past 70 years; The History of Topps, highlighting notable names and events that impacted the company in a 10-card set; Topps Through the Years, showcasing 25 MLB stars on iconic brands and card designs from Topps’ rich history; Stars in Service, shining a light on the charitable efforts of some of the game’s greats; Topps Double Headers, a 25-card set showing legendary players’ rookie cards on one side and their final Topps card on the other; Topps Platinum Players Die Cuts, a 70-card set highlighting the 70 greatest players to be featured on Topps cards; 1986 Topps Baseball, celebrating the 35th anniversary of the 1986 Topps Baseball set; 1951 Topps Major League All-Stars Box Toppers, in which 25 All-Star players are featured on one of Topps’ earliest trading card designs; and History of Topps Baseball Buyback Cards, featuring 70 of the most iconic Topps cards, one from each year—encased and numbered 1-of-1.

There are also Sketch Cards, Shaped Sketch Cards and Home Run Challenge.

Autograph Relics include Topps Reverence Autographed Patch Cards, Major League Material Autograph Cards, World Series Champion Autograph Relic Cards and Postseason Performance Autograph Relic Cards.

Autographs can also be found on 70 Years of Baseball, 1986 Topps Baseball, World Series Champions and Postseason Performance.

The series also contains Commemorative Relics in Iconic Card Patches and Spring Training Cap Logo Patch Cards.

The release features exclusive silver packs that includes veterans, rookies and retired greats on chrome technology, along with numbered autographs and parallels.

The hobby configuration is 14 cards per pack, 24 packs per box and 12 boxes per case; the HTA Jumbo configuration is 46 cards per pack, 10 packs per box and six boxes per case. The hobby break is one autograph or relic card and one silver pack; the Jumbo break is one autograph card, two relic cards and two silver packs. The release is scheduled for Feb. 10.

2020 Panini Prizm Football

Collect the colorful content that collectors have come to know with Panini Prizm Football, which is loaded with exclusive product. Find the all-new Snakeskin Prizm, falling one per case on average. Find one of the deepest NFL rookie classes of all-time in the 100-card rookie set. Look for short-printed inserts such as Illumination, Aurora and the return of Instant Impact and Stained Glass, as well as the ultra-rare Color Blast. These inserts combine to fall one per case on average.

New inserts include Go Hard or Go Home, Lockdown! And All Out!

Prizm returns with a 300-card base set filled with veterans and legends from every franchise. Franchise Legends Signatures features some of the biggest names in NFL history.

The hobby configuration is 12 cards per pack, 12 packs per box and 12 boxes per case with a box break of two autographs, nine numbered Prizms, two Silver Prizms, four inserts and 24 rookies. It was to be released in December.

2020-21 Upper Deck Allure Hockey

Allure, now in its second season following a successful 2019-20 debut, boasts a 150-card Base Set featuring 70 veterans, 30 rookies and 50 SP rookies, the latter falling one per pack on average. The parallels range from simply color and pattern variations to color and pattern variations with autographs and/or memorabilia. Keep an eye out for rare Auto Jersey (numbered to 75 or 25), Auto Patch (numbered to 10) and Golden Treasures Auto (1-of-1s) parallels.

Grand Entrance is an all-new insert dedicated to the league’s top rookie prospects; look for Green Auto and Blue (numbered to 99) parallels. Also new are City Celly, which captures the joy of goal-scoring, presenting players celebrating with the skyline of their home city in the background; and XRC’s Redemption cards for the top five 2021-22 rookies.

The hobby configuration is eight cards per pack, eight packs per box and 20 boxes per case with a box break average of one autograph, two Double Rainbow/Rare Parallels or Jersey cards, five inserts, eight base parallels and eight SP Rookie Cards. The release was scheduled for Jan. 6.
