Lelands.com’s Masters Auction features historic memorabilia from a variety of interests

Lelands.com is hosting a Masters Auction that features a variety of historic memorabilia from a variety of different sports.

The bat Pete Rose used for his record-breaking 4,192 hit in 1985 and the specially padded 1947-48 Brooklyn Dodgers cap worn by Jackie Robinson to help protect his head from racially motivated beanballs headline the Lelands.com Masters Auction, which closes Oct. 27 and consists of a few hundred high-value lots.

The Lelands.com auction also features the 1973 Secretariat Belmont Stakes Presentation Blanket from Penny Chenery, Robinson’s final Brooklyn Dodgers game-worn jacket, the WBC Championship Belt awarded to Muhammad Ali for his 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle” win over George Foreman, a 1945 Mel Ott New York Giants game-used jersey, a 1936 Joe DiMaggio rookie year game-used bat, a 1960 Ted Williams game-used home run bat, Frank Robinson’s 500th home run game-used bat, a bat used by Mickey Mantle during the 1955-57 seasons and Mantle’s 1980s Texas driver’s license.

Additional auction highlights include a Ted Williams game-used glove circa 1955, a 2017 Aaron Judge game-worn “Derek Jeter Day” jersey and cap, game-used bats belonging to Yogi Berra, Roberto Clemente, George Sisler, Bill Terry and other Hall of Famers, a 1970 Brooks Robinson game-worn Orioles uniform, a 1969 Rod Carew Minnesota Twins game-worn uniform, Addie Joss Cleveland Naps game-worn pants circa 1909, a 1977 Lou Brock St. Louis Cardinals game-worn jersey, a signed “Ty Cobb “Sliding into Third” photo by Charles Conlon, Pete Rose’s 3,000 hit official lineup cards and a 1947-48 Babe Ruth single-signed baseball.

Lelands.com will also be auctioning off a complete unopened cello box of 1962 Topps First Series baseball cards, a 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle card, a 1911 T20B Gold Border Walter Johnson, a 1964 Topps #440 Roberto Clemente (PSA Gem Mint 10), a Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig signed baseball that was used during a Bustin’ Babes & Larrapin Lou’s 1927 barnstorming game, a 1960s Roberto Clemente single-signed baseball with a perfect 10 autograph, an 1898 New York Giants Polo Grounds pass and a circa 1927 Lou Gehrig “Batting Hands” Type 1 photo by Conlon.

Additional horse racing memorabilia featured in the auction includes a 1973 Secretariat Kentucky Derby armband worn by Ron Turcotte, a 1973 Secretariat Belmont Stakes nail and Secretariat’s original Preakness winner’s circle garland from that year, as well as the 1969 Arts & Letters gold plated Travers Winning Trophy from Braulio Baeza’s personal collection.

The auction also boasts a 1985 Michael Jordan signed Nike Air Jordan I sneakers, a 1966 Topps USA Test Bobby Orr rookie card, the personally scored and signed scorecard from Bobby Jones’ 1926 British Open win, Ken Norton’s fight-worn gloves from his 1976 bout with Muhammad Ali, the 1909 Jack Johnson vs. Al Kaufman fight contract, 1977 Sugar Ray Leonard pro debut signed fight gloves, Isaac Berger’s 1956 U.S. Olympic weightlifting gold medal, Vince Lombardi’s final speech and a pristine 2006 “If I Did It” first edition by O.J. Simpson.
