Actor Kurt Russell has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but if truth be told, he’d have probably preferred a plaque in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

Russell pursued a baseball career before giving his all to acting.

Artist Ronnie Joyner detailed his Minor League Baseball career in his latest baseball cartoon featured in the pages of Sports Collectors Digest.

The son of actor Bing Russell and dancer Louise Julia Russell, Kurt Russell started acting on TV at age 12. In the 1960s, he signed a 10-year contract with The Walt Disney Company, and he was among its top stars. He went on to star in several films.
