A look back at George Brett
SCD artist Ronnie Joyner details the career of the Kansas City Royals great.
Kansas City Royals rookie George Brett batted .282 in 1974. Not bad for a rookie, you say? Well, it would be 17 years before he’d ever hit that low again.
Working with Royals hitting instructor Charlie Lau that year, George shifted his weight back to give his left-handed swing maximum coverage, and it worked.
