Topps Series 2 Baseball features top 2026 rookies, new anniversary inserts
Major League Baseball has produced another strong rookie class during the 2026 season, with young stars like Kevin McGonigle, JJ Wetherholt and slugging Japanese sensation Munetaka Murakami sharing the spotlight.
The season’s top rookies are featured in the release of 2026 Topps Series 2 Baseball, which hit the market June 10.

Topps Series 2 expands the flagship checklist with several notable players receiving their first Topps Baseball base cards, including Munetaka and fellow rookies Tatsuya Imai, Kazuma Okamoto and Trey Yesavage.
Collectors can also chase base card short-print Rookie variations featuring top prospects McGonigle, Wetherholt, Carson Benge, Justin Crawford, Chase DeLauter and Sal Stewart.
The new release continues the card maker’s year-long celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Topps Baseball with anniversary-themed inserts, iconic design tributes, sought-after rookies, and new chase cards.
Hobby boxes retail for $127.99 and include 20 packs, 12 cards per pack, and one autograph or relic card per box.
Series 2 features the debut of new Diamond Dust insert cards, which feature a batter’s box-inspired design with a unique sandpaper-like texture that recreates the look and feel of infield dirt.
Topps’ popular Buyback Cards also return and are inserted across the 2026 flagship baseball lineup. The redemption cards can be exchanged for some of the most iconic Topps Baseball cards from the last 75 years, selected by a panel of hobby experts and delivered slabbed as part of the anniversary celebration.
Topps Series 1 also celebrates the history of Topps Baseball packaging with Cover Athlete cards. The new insert cards spotlight the top 10 Series 2 cover athletes and designs over the years, including limited auto variations featuring on-card signatures.
Other key insert cards include All Aces, All Kings, Heavy Lumber and the popular Auto Patch cards.
