Shohei Ohtani’s game-used shoes from the 2025 MLB Tokyo Series have already sold for a $440,055, a record for baseball footwear.

Now his game-worn jersey from the historic game, his first MLB game in Japan, is coming to auction.

Ohtani’s game-worn Los Angeles Dodgers jersey is up for bid at TheRealest.com through Oct. 17. The auction house calls the jersey one of “the most significant Ohtani memorabilia pieces in existence” and projects it to become the most valuable modern-era game-worn baseball jersey ever sold.

Adding to its significance and value, the jersey carries the first Gold MLB Logoman ever worn in an official MLB game. First introduced by MLB in 2025, the Gold MLB Logoman Patch is worn by the previous season's MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year award winners. Ohtani was part of the first class of MLB players to ever wear the patch following his 2024 NL MVP.

“This is one of those rare pieces where the history, provenance and market all come together,” said Scott Keeney (aka DJ Skee), founder and CEO of The Realest. “This is the jersey from Shohei Ohtani's first Major League Baseball game ever played in Japan, and it carries the first Gold MLB Logoman ever worn in an official Major League Baseball game—a grail feature that has helped reset the market for Ohtani memorabilia on multiple occasions.”

The jersey also features Ohtani’s rare Kanji signature (大谷翔平) and personal inscriptions marking “Opening Day Tokyo Series,” “GU 3-18-25” and “NL MVP.”

Items containing Ohtani's game-worn MLB Gold Logoman patches have sold for millions, with a 1/1 Ohtani Gold Logoman Auto card selling for $3 million and a Dual Gold Logoman Auto carrying two game-worn patches and signatures in both English and kanji selling for a record $11 million in July 2026.

In his historic homecoming to Japan, Ohtani went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in the Dodgers’ 4-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Ohtani would go on to win his fourth MLB MVP in 2025 as the Dodgers won their second straight World Series.
