The battle between Upper Deck and Konami Digital Entertainment over the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game continues. Upper Deck announced this week that stores hosting Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments will not receive their orders of the newest Champion Packs, a hobby exclusive product. Upper Deck says Konami did not send the packs to Upper Deck for distribution to hobby stores.

“Konami Digital has not released the Champion Packs to Upper Deck, despite having received the order on time several months ago, rendering Upper Deck unable to fill orders from hobby stores,” the company said in a statement.

Last month, Konami announced it was taking over all aspects of the Yu-Gi-Oh! game and terminating Upper Deck’s exclusive sales and distribution agreement. Upper Deck was granted an injunction to prevent its agreement from being terminated.
