Strongsville Sports Collectors show to feature Cleveland sports legends, other big stars
The annual Strongsville Sports Collectors Convention (SSCC) in Strongsville, Ohio will feature some of the biggest stars in Cleveland sports history and other big sports legends, including baseball Hall of Famer Ricky Henderson.
The nation’s longest-running all vintage sports card and memorabilia show will be held April 14-16 at the Strongsville Best Western Conference Center (15471 Royalton Road). Founded as the Ohio Sports Collectors Convention in 1978, one of the hobby’s most popular shows for rare and vintage sports cards and memorabilia attracts thousands of passionate collectors from across the U.S.

This year’s event is sponsored by Lelands and Heritage Auctions, along with autograph authenticator James Spence Authentication (JSA) and card grading firm Certified Sports Guaranty (CSG).
Show promoters expect a record number of attendees this year and collectors are encouraged to bring their collections to get “on the spot” appraisals from some of the top dealers, auction houses and authenticators in the hobby.
This year’s show will feature special autograph signings and photo ops from such Cleveland sports legends as Browns Kardiac Kids Brian Sipe, Clay Matthews Jr., Mike Pruitt, Greg Pruitt, Dave Logan, Reggie Rucker and Joe DeLamielleure.
Other Cleveland sports greats scheduled to sign autographs include: Carlos Baerga, Cory Snyder, Bartolo Colon, David Justice, Larry Nance, Ozzie Newsome and Bernie Kosar.
The autograph schedule also includes sports legends Rickey Henderson, Darryl Strawberry, Ickey Woods and Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini.
Show hours are: Friday, April 14 (2–7 pm), Saturday (10 am–6 pm) and Sunday (10 am–4 pm).
Collectors and fans can take advantage of discounted admission tickets online at strongsvilleports.com or purchase them for full price at the door. Autograph tickets are also available on the website, but can be purchased at the show while they last.
