World Cup excitement has never been more apparent than in the demand for the Icons 4th Edition Football set from France-based card company Club Legacyz.

The edition launched on June 15—and sold out in two hours.

“It is a great [series], but we are still very hungry,” said Noe Fraidenraich, the company’s co-founder and a collector of 20 years.

The Icons 4th Edition Football set has a “World Cup effect,” Fraidenraich said, featuring the maximum of nationality in the series roster: 60 players, 27 nationalities. It is the company’s biggest edition with 75,000 cards. Plus, it includes special inscription cards, match-worn jersey cards and key on-card autographs.

Players featured in Icons 4th Edition Football are spotlighted on cutting edge designs with a Euro aesthetic and quality, printed in France. Cards are all sequentially numbered in varying editions with no more than 200 of any design, and some truly unique one-of-ones. Players added autographs on-card, some with special messages to their fans.

“We believe football trading cards are at the intersection of culture, fandom and investment, and the World Cup will be the catalyst that makes them a global obsession,” Fraidenraich said.

On-card autos is the most important element of Icons Football Cards, he said.

“Players are designing/choosing their collections and designs,” Fraidenraich said.

“It makes no sense for them and for us to send them a board of stickers [to sign]. They want to see the cards; they want to touch them and manipulate them.”

For Icons World Heroes, Club Legacyz hit a World Cup goal of sorts: cards of Erling Haaland, Marquinhos and Rafael Leao, among others.

“All of these cards are revealed to collectors in a beautiful tray; each protected in a premium holder. The cards are able to be removed from the holder for grading,” Fraidenraich said.

Each player contributes their own style into the artwork on their cards, inviting fans to see them in new and unique fashion. Other players who have licensed their artwork include Luka Modric, Bradley Barcola, Iniesta, Federico Valverde, Ronaldinho and more. There are more than 50 players in the set, which is sold in display boxes, each with 10 mini boxes. A display includes one on-card autograph. The MSRP is $29.99 per mini box.

Icons 5th edition planning is underway for a late-2026 launch.

“The players’ checklist improved,” over past releases, Fraidenraich said.

Edition 1 from Club Legacyz launched last summer in conjunction with the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago; Edition 2 came out last November/December; and Edition 3 this past April.

“The 4th Edition definitely delivered,” Fraidenraich said.

The Icons 4th edition featured Erling Haaland, among others. Haaland is a striker for Premier League club Manchester City and plays for the Norway National Team. He is being considered for the World Cup Golden Boot, awarded to the event’s top goal scorer. Regarded as one of the best players in the world and the greatest Norwegian player of all time, “he is known for his speed, strength, positioning, and finishing inside the box,” Fraidenraich said.

“Icons Football cards is about gathering a roster with the world’s greatest and legends of the game,” he said.

There are 30 players in the Icons 4th edition playing in the World Cup. Fraidenraich said the Erling on-card autographs “are special because he is a special player.”

There are 91 Erling autographed cards. One of the regular Erling cards spotlights breakfast cereal.

All Erling cards, and most others, are already drawing high demand on the secondary market.

Fraidenraich said the 5th edition will include new players and the main novelty is that it is going to be a themed edition.

“There are some Easter eggs in the Icons 4th edition that will be revealed this summer on social media,” he said.

At the 2026 National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago, Club Legacyz is sponsoring the VIP area and driving awareness of the brand with collectors, Fraidenraich said.

“We’ll be working with retailers on the show floor to drive sales of the small amount we held of Icons 4th edition to have at The National,” he said. “We knew this was a special release. We knew The National is the world’s card showcase. We didn’t know we’d be so glad to have planned ahead and held some of this edition for it.”
