Sports Card Investor, an online sports card content platform, has announced “The Virtual,” a free five-day streaming sports card event that allows dealers, breakers and speakers to showcase their inventory to sports fans and collectors.

The Sports Card Investor team’s decision to offer the sports card community a virtual experience was motivated by the National Sports Collectors Convention’s announcement to postpone this Summer’s event in Atlantic City, due to the Covid-19 virus.

“The health and safety of our dealers, sponsors, athletes and staff are of the utmost priority,” said a spokesperson for the NSCC in a recent press release. The National has been tentatively rescheduled for mid-December, 2020.

“The Virtual” is scheduled to go live July 29th – August 2nd, 2020, the original scheduled date of The National, and will feature entertainment, card breaks, dealer showcases, manufacturers and special guests, all streamed live and free across Sports Card Investor’s YouTube and Instagram pages.

“Many collectors and dealers plan year-round for this event, which can make or break a dealer’s year, financially,” said Sports Card Investor CEO, Geoff Wilson. “While we certainly respect the NSCC’s decision to postpone, we also empathize with everyone attending this coveted event and want to give something back to the sports card community.”

Attendees, dealers and speakers can visit http://www.sportscardinvestor.com now to register, free of charge, for their virtual ticket, and sign up for weekly updates to track details of “The Virtual” Sports Card Convention.
