Dave & Adam’s Ex-Employees Charged in $1.3 Million Theft
Three former employees of Dave & Adam's,a well known sports card business in the hobby, have entered guilty pleas in stealing $1.3 million worth of cards by taking advantage of a flaw in the computer software.
According to the Associated Press, the men face up to 15 years in prison when they're sentenced in January. All three pleaded guilty to grand larceny charges in Buffalo On Sept. 12. Their names are Aaron Hollars, Anthony Martone and David Woods, all salesmen at Dave & Adam's Card World.
According to the AP, Hollars, 31, was accused of stealing more than $800,000 in cards. Martone, 31, took more than $100,000, and Woods, 25, stole more than $400,000 from the store. The thefts took place between January of 2013 and this past July.
