Coming Up: Topps Archives Baseball

Topps released details for its 2013 Archives Baseball issue, which includes popular designs from the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s. Look for Mini Tall Boys, Topps Originals and much more.

Details have been released on one of the most popular baseball releases of the year – 2013 Topps Archives Baseball. With designs harking back to the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s, the product is a hit with collectors – and that’s before you get into the bells and whistles.
Every box will include two on-card autographs, including the Fan Favorites autographs, such as Matt Williams and Eric Davis. Triple autograph cards will features players from the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s – all in one place. The 200 base cards will feature four different styles years: 1972 (cards No. 1-50), 1982 (51-100), 1985 (101-150) and 1990 (151-200).

The 1960s Topps-style relic cards will feature both active and retired stars with a unique die cut. Hobby-only packs will have special gems called Topps Originals: Vintage cards signed and numbered to 10, complete with a Topps Originals foil-stamped logo.

Other draws to the set include framed, signed 1973 Topps Minis (hobby only), cut signatures from 1980s celebrities, Mini Tall Boys from the 1965 Topps Football design (signed versions, too) and other sub-sets in the designed of 1983 Topps All-Star and 1972 Topps Basketball. Also look for 1969-style four-in-one stickers.

Topps Archives Baseball is scheduled to be released at the end of May.
