2018 Topps Archives Baseball pays homage to ‘The Sandlot’

The movie “The Sandlot” is loved by baseball fans, and Topps is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of the film in 2018 Topps Archives Baseball.

When 2018 Topps Archives Baseball hits store shelves in late October it will feature a comprehensive and diverse autograph checklist, unannounced card variations, new throwback on-card autograph subsets, and components commemorating the classic baseball movie, “The Sandlot.”

The base set of 2018 Topps Archives Baseball will celebrate Topps’ renowned 1959, 1977, and 1981 card designs across a 300-card base set. Each of those year’s designs is featured on 100 cards in the base set.

Base set parallels include: Purple, Silver, Blue, and Gold Foil.

Up to 10 base card variations will also be included in 2018 Topps Archives Baseball and will feature subtle differences from the base card.

Insert sets include: 1959 Topps Combo Cards, 1977 Topps Turn Back the Clock, 1981 Topps Future Stars, Coming Attraction, and Topps Rookie History.

The movie “The Sandlot” has its own insert card set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film’s release. The cards feature images from the movie on the 1962 Topps design. The Sandlot Autograph Cards are also available.

There are plenty of autograph cards available.

Fan Favorite Autographs feature on-card autographs of baseball personalities, fan favorites, retired greats and active MLB stars on vintage card designs.

Other autograph inserts include: Topps Rookie History Autographs, Coming Attraction Autographs, Topps Originals Autographs, and 1993 Topps All Stars Dual Autographs.
