Baseball cards of postseason heroes Brooks Robinson, Tom Seaver, Albert Pujols headline Huggins & Scott Summer Auction
As baseball heads down the home stretch, baseball fans get nostalgic for playoff and World Series heroes of the past.
Heroes like Brooks Robinson, Tom Seaver and Albert Pujols.
And Babe Ruth, of course.
Collectors looking to pick up items from those baseball legends will find them in the Huggins & Scott Summer Auction, which features more than 2,300 items, led by a 1961 Topps Dice Game Brooks Robinson (SGC EX/NM 6). It’s the highest graded example of the elusive card.

Other high-grade baseball cards include a 1967 Topps #581 Tom Seaver Rookie (PSA 9) and a 2001 Bowman Chrome #340 Albert Pujols Autograph Rookie Refractor #/500 (SGC 8).
Special baseball memorabilia includes a 1939 Baseball Hall of Fame grand opening induction wristwatch presented to Eddie Collins; a Babe Ruth signed American Association baseball; and a 1920 World Series Game 7 Ticket Stub (PSA GOOD 2) from the Cleveland Indians first World Series championship vs. the Brooklyn Robins.
Other historic memorabilia up for bid includes a 2009 Los Angeles Lakers NBA championship 15K gold ring presented to Assistant GM Ronnie Lester and a Michael Jordan signed Chicago Bulls pro-cut road jersey from the 1995-1996 season.
Jordan also shows up with a a pair of impressive rookie cards: a 1984-1985 Star Basketball #288 1985 Rookie-of-the-Year (BGS 7) and a 1986-1987 Fleer #57 Rookie (PSA 8).
Other highlights of the auction, which runs through Sept. 10, includes:
• 1921 Tip Top Bread Baltimore Orioles Lefty Grove Pre-Rookie (SGC FAIR 1.5).
• 1955 Topps #123 Sandy Koufax Rookie (PSA 7)
• 1935 Goudey 4-In-1 Uncut 6-Card Panel with 11 Hall of Famers, including Babe Ruth SGC Authentic.
• 2017 Panini Donruss Optic Rated Rookie 1990 Retro Signatures Aaron Judge Blue #/5 (PSA 10, Auto 9, Pop 1).
