Ruth ball brings $2,390 at Heritage's Nov. sale
A Babe Ruth signed baseball and a group lot of 59 1964 Topps Giants cards, which were signed by 58 players, headlined Heritage Auction Galleries' November Internet auction that ended Nov. 26.
The Ruth-signed ball, which is a heavily toned OAL (Barnard) baseball and has many abrasions, sold for $2,390.
Meanwhile, the 1964 Topps Giants group lot was hammered down for $1,793. Also cracking the $1,000 mark in the auction were a 1909-11 T206 Christy Mathewson Dark Cap SGC EX 60 went for $1,195, while a 1911 T205 Gold Border Ed Walsh PSA EX 5 sold $1,016.
