Ared-laced, sweet-spot signed Andia Baseball signed by Hall of Famer Cap Anson topped the 3,900-plus lots in the December Coach's Corner Auction. The ball sold for $5,979.

Close behind the Anson ball in value was a plain, red-laced ball, bearing the signatures of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri and Miller Huggins selling for $5,326. The ball was originally given to former big-league umpire George Magerkurth and the Ruth signature on the sweet spot is inscribed "To George." Lazzeri's signature comes also with the inscription "To Mr. Magerkurth."

Third highest was the $5,050 spent on a Cy Young single-signed, red-laced Spalding ball, which was followed closely by $4,988 for an official Lee McPhail American League ball signed by Earle Combs. Meanwhile, an Eddie Collins signed Rawlings ball went for $4,821.

A Babe Ruth red-and-black laced Huber Little League ball brought $3,500, followed by a Mel Ott signed "All Purpose Practice Ball" that generated a bid of $2,625 and a Ty Cobb signature on a Sonnett Little League baseball sold for $1,838.

A Honus Wagner signed Pony League ball sold for $1,575 and a Rogers Hornsby signed Pony League ball went for $893.

A 1909-11 Peidmont cigarette card pack, unopened and likely containing a T-206 card, brought $739, while a 1901 Sweet Caporal unopened pack, which is not likely to contain a baseball card, sold for $216.
